The Supreme Court of India is currently hearing YouTuber and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia’s plea to merge multiple FIRs filed against him in Mumbai and Guwahati, Assam related to the controversy surrounding his remarks on comedian Samay Raina’s YouTube show, India’s Got Latent. A bench comprising Justices Surya Kant and N. Kotiswar Singh is overseeing the case.

Renowned senior lawyer Abhinav Chandrachud, son of former Chief Justice of India D.Y. Chandrachud, is representing Allahbadia in court.
